Der leere Stuhl  

The Empty Chair.

This work is conceived as a spatial installation. It consists of 30 glass panes with the sandblasted image of an empty chair. The installation is accompanied by a video that depicts the “Cacerolazo” in protest mode.

These two elements stage a space in which each chair exemplarily represents one year of my life. To the failed state, I symbolically oppose my lifetime.

A cathartic exercise, a constant struggle over the absence of memory. A grappling for interpretive authority in one’s own experience in the search for a better future. An imaginary world that, through the play of representation, invites dialogue and enables confrontation, reflection, and conflict resolution.
